The Butterfly Plant Collection contains 1 each of A. 'tuberosa', A. 'incarnata' and A. incarnata 'Ice Ballet'. Butterflies love to visit these flowers for nectar and the foliage of Asclepias is the only thing Monarch butterfly caterpillars will eat. Asclepias is tolerant of both wet and dry soils and needs plenty of sunshine to bloom heavily. A beacon for butterflies and a low care perennial. Excellent for borders, as tall ground cover or for cut flowers.
