Hosta Elegans

The Hosta 'Elegans', Hosta sieboldiana, is an extra large Hosta with heart-shaped leaves. Being blue-green in color, it has a heavy, deeply tucked texture with powdery like cast which make it very striking. The white flowers bloom from July to August, however, Hosta'Ös are not known only for their flowers. With a plant height of 30'¥ and a spread of 48-60'¥, Hosta'Ös provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage. Hosta 'Elegans'Ö needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained area. This low care perennial is ideal for shady positions, tubs and patio pots, and one of the most popular for landscape uses. A great choice for any beginner gardener.
