The Hosta Stained Glass, Hosta 'Stained Glass', is a sport of the hosta Guacamole and was Hosta of the year in 2006. It is considered one of the best hosta's to be released in years. It has shiny, deeply veined, golden foliage which almost appears to give the leaves a stained glass effect. Each leaf is surrounded by a dark green margin. The fragrant lavender flowers of this hosta appear in late summer, however hosta'Ös are not known for their flowers. Hosta'Ös provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage and Stained Glass is no exception. Stained Glass is a sun tolerant hosta and should be planted in any moist, well-drained spot. This low care perennial is ideal for shady positions, tubs and patio pots, and is one of the most popular landscape plants. A great choice for any beginner gardener.
