Iris Dwarf Halkis

Iris 'halkis'

The Iris 'Halkis', Iris reticulata 'Halkis', is a tiny iris, and one of the truest blues available in the botanical world. In late winter 'Halkis' emerges to announce that spring is just around the corner. Plant the bulbs in masses for the best color effect. It is smaller in stature than the Dutch hybrid Reticulata forms, and thus it makes a smaller bulb, (5cm diameter rather than 6cm). The growth is also slightly more slender. A very good plant, for out in the garden, well-drained in full sun.
