Lily Double Tiger Flore Pleno

Lilium double tigrinum 'Flore Pleno'

The Double Tiger Lily 'Flora Pleno', Lilium, is a mutation of the common Tiger Lily, first introduced in 1870. Heirloom bulbs are the best of the best of timeless, classic and elegant varieties that have been bred to relative perfection. These antique varieties have endured the test of time, and are as amazing as they were thousands of years ago. Highly recommended! The Tiger Lily is a vigorous grower and will thrive even in poor soil. You can expect lots of charming speckled flowers per bulb from this excellent naturalizer. The Tiger Lily comes from Japan and has been cultivated there for a long time. Von Siebold's name will always be connected with this lily because he introduced the first bulb to the west. The petals of the Tiger Lily are sharply reflexed, somewhat pendulous, and very sweet-smelling.
