Ninebark Center Glow

The Ninebark Center Glow, 'Physocarpus opulifolius 'Center Glow'Ö, is a new and exciting variety. Similar to 'Diablo', the foliage emerges a yellow-green but matures into bright, deep red that last all season long. With a plant height of 8-10' and a width of 8', the white flowers that bloom in spring add excitement to this shrub. Best to be planted in full sun, 'Center Glow' needs a well drained site. Developed by Dr. Harold Pellet and the University of Minnesota. Use this plant in the landscape as a border or background for perennial or annual flower beds or in foundation plantings of larger buildings. The Center Glow is a fast grower and new shoots can be cut and used in floral arrangements.
