Rainbow Pillar Serviceberry, amelanchier canadensis 'Glennform' (PP9,092), is an upright shrub that blooms in spring with lovely white flowers. The mildew resistant summer foliage is dark green, changing to a brilliant orange-red in fall. It has small, oval or elliptical leaves, with finely toothed margins and downy undersides. This is a perfect plant for screens or hedges. Rainbow Pillar Serviceberry provides year-round interest in the landscape, as well as producing edible fruits. It grows to 20 feet with a spread of 8 to 10 feet and needs full to part sun.
