Sweet Woodruff

Galium odoratum 'Sweet Woodruff'

The Galium Sweet Woodruff, 'Galium odoratum', is a new ground cover that has delicate white flowers that look wonderful with its dark green foliage. When dried, the leaves are mildly fragrant. Galium blooms from late spring to early summer. 'Sweet Woodruff'Ö has a plant height of 6-12'¥ and a plant spread of 12'¥. It requires full sun but will tolerate morning shade and moist, well drained soil. (More shade is required in warm climates.) Galium can spread very rapidly and must be planted in an area where it is able to take over. Use 'Sweet Woodruff'Ö as an edging perennial, in a naturalized area, or as a ground cover beneath shrubs.

RIGHT TREES, SHRUBS CAN WITHSTAND WISCONSIN WINTER.(Daybreak)

Winter can be tough on Wisconsin's trees and shrubs. Low temperatures, rapid temperature changes, winter desiccation and the weight of ice and snow can damage vulnerable trees and shrubs. Trees, shrubs have purpose

Trees, shrubs beautify the winter landscape

The first lecture I heard on "winter interest in the garden" left me skeptical. "Not my season. Not that interested. I'm shutting it down and staying inside," I thought. Back then I was a vegetable and flower gardener, hadn't learned my shrubs and trees, and probably hadn't learned to use my eyes
